New Mito-CRC 1218: Mitochondrial regulation of cellular function
Mitochondrial regulation of cellular function
In the newly established CRC 1218 nineteen project leaders from the University of Cologne, the University Hospital Cologne, the Max Planck Institute for Biology of Ageing and the Max Planck Institute for Metabolism Research in Cologne have teamed up to study how mitochondria influence activity, differentiation and survival of the cell. Starting on July 1st 2016, the center will be funded for an initial four-year period by the German Research Foundation (DFG) with 9,6 M €. Numerous new positions for scientific researchers will be funded by the CRC 1218.
Speaker of the new CRC is Prof. Dr. Thomas Langer (CECAD/Institute for Genetics) who is heading the CMMC project C 4.
Of the 15 CRC principal investigators, the following seven scientist are affiliated with the CMMC and are heading a research project in the current funding period.
