New President of the Cardiology Ordinary Conference

The association is an interest group of all full professors in Germany who run a cardiology clinic at a university hospital. It is dedicated to addressing the issues and interests of university cardiology with a social, health policy, and scientific focus.

"It is a distinct privilege to lead this network during the 2024 to 2026 period. Historically, university cardiology has not received sufficient public attention. Going forward, we aim to prioritize the interests of our discipline, particularly our patients at university cardiac centers in Germany. Our close collaboration with the German Society of Cardiology presents a valuable opportunity to align our interests. I am excited to embark on this endeavor with our exceptional board," states Prof Baldus.

Prof Baldus is director of the Clinic III for Internal Medicine (General and Interventional Cardiology, Electrophysiology, Angiology, Pneumology and Internal Intensive Care Medicine) at the University Hospital Cologne and an Executve Board Member at the CMMC Center for Molecular Medicine Cologne.
