Aleksandra Trifunovic receives Max Delbrück Research Prize 2025

The University of Cologne has awarded the Max Delbrück Research Prize 2025 in the category of natural and life sciences to Professor Dr Aleksandra Trifunovic.
Aleksandra Trifunovic is an internationally renowned scientist and principle investigator at the CMMC whose research has significantly shaped our understanding of mitochondria, aging, and cellular stress responses. Her work has laid the foundation for key developments in mitochondrial quality control and its role in age-related diseases.
Her research stands out for its scientific depth, methodological innovation, and lasting impact on both basic biology and the understanding of human health.
The Life Science Campus Cologne warmly congratulates her on this prestigious recognition.
