Student Mobility Event
At the end of October 2024, the Center for Molecular Medicine Cologne (CMMC) hosted an event on student mobility between German and Italian universities. The event was a joint initiative of the Italian Consulate General in Cologne, the Forum Accademico Italiano (FAI), the Orizzonti platform of Com.It.Es. in Cologne and the University of Cologne.
The event opened with a joint welcome by the Italian Consul General, Luis Cavalieri, the Vice Rector of the University of Cologne, Beatrix Busse, and the Director of the National Agency for Erasmus+ University Cooperation at the DAAD, Stephan Gelfers.
After a keynote speech by Professor Vito Francesco Gironda of Bielefeld University, who is also the President of the Forum Accademico Italiano, and Jan Kruse, the Managing Director of the Center for International Relations at the University of Cologne, the event focused on swapping ideas and experiences in the field of "double-degree programs", like the bi-national university degree in law at the University of Cologne and the University of Florence.
