This year we have the honor to welcome Prof. Dr. Jürgen M. Bauer as key note lecturer.
Short bibliographical sketch
Prof. Dr. Bauer is professor for Gerontology, director of the Aging Research Network (ARN) of Heidelberg University and since 2016 medical director as well as Head of Akutgeriatrie at Agaplesion Bethanien Hospital Heidelberg. From 2007 to 2015 he was board member to the European Society for Geriatric Medicine (EuGMS) and president of the German Society of Geriatrics (DGG - Deutsche Gesellschaft für Geriatrie) from 2015 to 2017, after being rewarded with its honorary award in 2007. He is a current faculty member of the European Society for Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism (ESPEN) and the International Osteoporosis Foundation's (IOF) scientific advisory board.
