It was a great pleasure for us to host the 11th ORPHEUS Conference
"Lost in translation? From medical studies to clinical research."
The Conference was organized under the patronage of ORPHEUS by the Faculty of Medicine and the Center for Molecular Medicine Cologne at the University of Cologne.
To provide a platform for the discussion of the complete career path in biomedicine and health sciences, beginning with undergraduate level, followed by the doctoral period and the subsequent transition phase. Special emphasis was given to the impact of innovative doctoral educational programs and the training of physician scientists. International experts presented innovative strategies and concepts on the themes:
As one major highlight, Carla Nau (Lübeck - GER) presented as our honorary guest speaker of the ORPHEUS Lecture 2016 "Challenges of becoming a physician scientist - a personal insight" on March 10th, 2016.
