Klenk Symposium 2017 - Poster Presentation

Dear Participants

We are pleased to inform you that we received over 75 poster abstracts. The authors of all poster abstracts have been invited to present their poster at the 33rd Ernst Klenk Symposium 2017 related to the following topics:

Exploring molecular concepts of cell renewal & stem cell function in tissue maintenance & repair

Research Area B: Poster B01 - B40
Mechanisms of cellular communication in tissue regeneration, repair and fibrosis

Research Area C: Poster C01 - C09
New strategies of targeting the immune response in tissue remodeling

Research Area D: Poster D01 - D10
Challenges and perspectives for translating scientific discoveries in regenerative medicine

The poster track is intended as a forum that provides an opportunity for the authors to present original research results and to promote scientific interaction. 

The scientific content, but also originality, potential impact as well as importance of the topic, novelty and relevance of the submitted poster abstracts will be evaluated.

The poster presentation will take place:

Sunday, Oct. 15, 2017 from 5.30 - 8.30 p.m.
during the Welcome Get-Together as follows:

    5.30 - 6.30 p.m.: poster presentation A, C and D
    6.30 - 7.30 p.m.: poster presentation B
    7.30 - 8.30 p.m.: ongoing discussions

Monday, Oct. 16, 2017 from 12.30 - 2.00 p.m.
    during the lunch break at the venue
In order to share the novel and exciting ongoing state-of-the-art research with all participants and thereby promoting scientific interaction, the poster should be displayed during the entire duration of the Symposium. The Symposium ends on Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2017 at about 1.30 p.m.

Poster Awards - Klenk Symposium 2017

The Poster Evaluation Committee (PEC) will judge posters on the scientific content with a focus on originality, potential impact/importance of the topic, novelty and relevance.
The PEC decided to award 250,- Euro to the first author of the three most outstanding poster contributions.

Monday, Oct. 16, 2017 at 3.50 p.m.: Announcements of awardees
Catherin Niemann (Chair of the PEC-2017) will announce the awardees of Klenk Symposium Poster Awards 2017 on Monday, Oct. 16, 2017 at 3.50 p.m.

Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2017: Short talks (10 min.) of the awardees 
The awardees are invited to give a short presentation during session IV of the Klenk Symposium 2017.
