Call for Submission of Poster Abstracts

September 15, 2017 - deadline for poster abstract submission

Dear Participants

We are pleased to invite all participants to submit abstracts for poster presentation at the 33rd Ernst Klenk Symposium 2017 related to the following topics:

Research Area A
Exploring molecular concepts of cell renewal & stem cell function in tissue maintenance & repair

Research Area B
Mechanisms of cellular communication in tissue regeneration, repair and fibrosis

Research Area C
New strategies of targeting the immune response in tissue remodeling

Research Area D
Challenges and perspectives for translating scientific discoveries in regenerative medicine

Selection procedure for the invitation to present a poster

The scientific content, but also originality, potential impact as well as importance of the topic, novelty and relevance of the submitted poster abstracts will be evaluated.
The deadline the submission of the poster abstract is Sept. 15, 2017.
The authors who submitted poster abstracts will be notified no later than Sept. 27, 2017, if their poster is selected for the poster presentation.

The poster track is intended as a forum that provides an opportunity for the authors to present original research results and to promote scientific interaction.

  • The abstracts and the poster presentations are in English

  • The template for abstract submission is available for download here

  • The abstracts should be sent to the Office of the Center for Molecular Medicine Cologne (CMMC) by e-mail to klenk-symposium[at]uni-koeln.de

  • The deadline for abstract submission is Sept. 15, 2017

  • Authors will be notified no later than Sept. 27, 2017, if their poster is selected for a poster presentation

  • Selected abstracts are to be presented as a poster in DIN A0 format (84 cm wide and 118 cm high) in upright format

Poster Award

The Poster Evaluation Committee decided to award 250,- Euro to the presenting author of each of the three most outstanding poster contributions.
