External Scientific Advisory Board

The External Scientific Advisory Board composed of 14 eminent scientists and chaired by Prof. Dr. Dr. Jürgen Heesemann (Ludwig-Maximilians-University, Munich) continuously assists the chairman and the principle investigators by reviewing the research programs and advising on policy and scientific matters.

An in-depth and thorough evaluation of the Center takes place before the start of every three-year funding period. The evaluation report and recommendations of the SAB are forwarded to and assessed by the Rectorate of the University of Cologne.
